We need Pistol Pete here in the garden and Pistol Pete needs his computer WORKING to be with us. He and Mrs. Pete both have serious health issues, but Pete keeps on working part time. He paid someone to fix his puter, then had the guy charge more than he said AND then didn’t fix it! We need to find a tech who will make a house call, actually do a GOOD job, and NOT over-charge.

Oct 20, 2014 Video by Prager University: Who Are the Racists: Conservatives or Liberals? [5:13]
To call someone a racist is a serious charge. A racist is someone who believes that one person is superior (or inferior) to another person simply based on their skin color. It’s a belief that is both foolish and stupid. But conservatives are accused by progressives of being racist on an almost daily basis. Is it a fair accusation? Or, is it just political posturing? And, if it is political posturing, what does it say about the people making the charge? Derryck Green of Project 21 has some provocative answers.

ALL LAWS (including but not limited to appropriations bills, tax law changes, minimum wage changes, etc.) have to be passed by both the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES and the SENATE, and then signed by the PRESIDENT.
Got that? There are THREE BODIES required that all must give consent to the SAME LAW before we can be bound by it (unless a Presidential veto is overruled by 2/3 votes in both the House and Senate).
So let’s give the MAJORITY the credit or blame for the economy, shall we? Whichever party holds majority control of two or all three of these bodies — House, Senate, Presidency — OWNS THE RESULTS.

Go look at the figures for yourself. All of the data is available on-line at a GOVERNMENT website. These figures haven’t been “cooked” by the GOP or the Koch Brothers. They’re compiled and published by the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The graph that shows what percentage of employable Americans have jobs is @ http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS12300000. Below the line graph is a month-by-month chart of employment numbers. Above the line graph is “Change Output Options” where you can play around with the parameters; you have to click GO to get the changes to work. The data goes all the way back to 1948.

It is now almost certain that renowned female Kurdish freedom fighter, known by her pseudonym ‘Rehana,’ has not survived the battle of Kobane and has been beheaded by ISIS troops. This has been reported by various international sources, including the AP, the Daily Mail, and the Herald Sun in Australia, although the Kurdish Women’s Defence Unit, or YPJ, has issued no official confirmation. To see a photo of a grinning ISIS douche-monkey holding up her severed head, go to the DC Gazette, here. If you would rather not see the ISIS photo, know that her face looks appropriately pleased and at peace while the ISIS fighter just looks like an idiot.
Although this woman has achieved worldwide notoriety by killing over 100 ISIS fighters, according to journalist Pawan Durani, in defense of Kurdish territory, her death is a blow to the morale of the Kurd fighters. The DC Gazette eulogizes her thusly:
“Thank you Rehana for your bravery and willingness to both kill and be killed fighting this particular manifestation of Islamic fundamentalist evil that has raped and slaughtered its way across your homeland. May your bravery, story, and sacrifice be an inspiration to a great many others in this fight.”
I have so many Halloween funnies it will take 5 days to post them.

We’re just a week away from the midterms. The interwebs will be bubbling with political commentary. It would be safe to assume that our hits would go up as they did in 2012 as people gather information and see what other people are saying. It was with this in mind I had my tech guy work on my machine last Friday. After the hour I had prepaid for he told me there were so many problems he’d have to take it home and clean the viruses up overnight and bring it back Saturday. When he reconnected it,he said he had to remove the AVG anti-virus program because it was infected and replace it with Avast. He then charged me an additional fee, which I was not prepared for. After he left I found, much to my chagrin, that it was little better than before and in some cases worse. There was a notice on the screen that the anti virus program was slowing down the speed of my computer. Unfortunately,I need protection so there’s nothing I can do about it. I e-mailed and called the guy and have yet to hear from him and probably won’t. I don’t mind paying for a service, but when people seemingly take advantage of your not knowing about things, much like a crooked mechanic who takes advantage of non-auto-savvy victims, I get really irritated because liberals take enough of my money for nothing as it is. I will try to do the best I can to continue posting, however long it takes, but were it not for DW’s checking facebook to keep up with her family, I’d be tempted to just disconnect the computer completely.
