A while back, I tried sending my graphics to my bloggy mail list as postcards direct from my Site Bites at Webshots. I got some positive feedback on that, so have switched to doing it much more often and sending emails much less often.
Today, I got some very cool feedback from someone who works at one of the most liberal Ivy League universities in the country.
Chrissy,
Keep the postcards coming, PLEASE!
I print and post them on the wall at work.
LOL!! I love it!!

I love those post cards, too, Chrissy. They get the point across very well with great “optics”, as the media is so fond of saying.
Happy Birthday, and tell SalTEAdog that is the most beautiful photo of an iris I have ever seen. The way the light hits that petal in the lower left is breathtaking.

Pete –
I can never get too much “Grudge Report” – so as far as I’m concerned go for it on Sunday. (But don’t burn yourself out!) Thank you for keeping us up to speed – you are a special treasure! Love you, Pete!

I agree, Auntie Lib. I will avidly read whatever you and Chrissy post!
But I do not want this blog to become a burden for either one of you. I hope it is a constructive outlet for your frustrations with the state of affairs in the US, and also an outlet for your talents. I say that anytime either one of you has something to post, let it fly! But please do not tie yourselves down to a schedule that makes it become a chore. We will always be reading, whenever the inspiration hits.

I agree wholeheartedly — do it only as often as you can without it becoming a drag! We will all be happy to read your contributions whenever they appear, and if you miss a day or two or three, that will only make us appreciate you more when you return.

Me too! You two do such a great job but if it ever starts to feel like a j.o.b then please don’t feel like you have to post. But, if you do post, we will all happily read your contributions.

Auntie, Ting, bob, Dee … oh gosh! I doubt you guys realize this, but it’s my birthday! I couldn’t have asked for a nicer presie than your support and kindness.
My kids have been calling just to say hey. They’re all coming in a couple of week when we will celebrate my May Days … my bday is always near Mother’s Day, so this is the extra special, spoil Mom time of year. (We’ll also be saying good-bye to our two who head off to one of Obama’s Wars in the much-too-near future.)
The bouquet was such a surprise, because I knew they were all planning to “do” my celebrations when they come. I’d already taken care of my Mother’s Day obligations and am obsessing on baby proofing and cleaning for our family gathering … basically I forgot it was a holiday week-end LOL.
The delivery guy was so tickled at how startled and delighted I was. LOL I think he has just about the best job in the world. He gets paid to make people happy. Too cool.
Anyway, all my phone calls have touched on PoliNations and Pete … “if you want a quick overview of what’s worth reading, just hit PoliNation and check out the Grudge Report!”
I also told them how I just completed my NINTH full week here, am really pleased with myself for having kept to my resolution to NOT do too much AND that I love our arrangement whereby I do exactly what I please here and you all do the scut work I disliked at HB. LOL
You know what? I have to change what I said before. The floral guy has the second best job. I have the best.
And now I must bid you adieu. Dearest just came in with our gourmet take-out dinner and a bottle of red wine … my choices for birthday dining.

The flowers are gorgeous — both the garden picture and the bouquet from the kids. Happy birthday Chrissy, and happy Mothers’ Day to all! I always celebrate Mothers’ Day by giving flowers for the altar at church, in memory of my mom and in honor of all mothers. After mass we give a rose to every woman and girl to take home. I’ll try to get a photograph of the altar flowers tomorrow, so I can post it for you all to see.
