I’m guessing the last 5% is Third Party, but it was not reported by NPR.
Do you approve of ObamaCare?
No 39% vs. Yes 52%
This is from their statement about methodology: “The sample was weighted so the total interviews in the battleground states reflects the proportion of the national electorate. The sample is Democrat (36%), Independent (31%), and Republican (29%). MOE ±4.56 points.”
(They add up to 96%, leaving 4% Meh.)
I don’t understand how weighting is done, but it looks to me like “the sample is” numbers were the actual proportions of the actual people polled, which was somehow mathematically tweaked to match the national electorate. But they did not say what numbers they used to represent the national electorate. Gallup tracks this continuously @ http://www.gallup.com/poll/15370/Party-Affiliation.aspx.
Comparing the week of the poll to the NPR numbers, the NPR poll overpolled Democrats by 6 points and Republicans by 2 points, while underpolling Independents by 10 points!
Given that everybody who has given it two seconds of thought knows that it will be Independents who decide the race, this seems absurd in the extreme.

Romney should keep a copy of this list in his pocket, and whenever a democrat starts nagging him about his tax returns he should whip out the list and choose an item from it and say, “I’ll release my tax return from [choose year] when Obama releases his [choose item from list].” And just keep doing that until the dems shut up.
