Oct 9: Prayer for Our Nation

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints. Colossians 1:3-4

Father,

We humbly come before You and ask that Your Spirit reach across the lands to all who are hurting and spiritually lost. Restore their hearts with hope everlasting; comfort them with Your tender, loving arms. May we be sensitive to their needs, whether physical or spiritual, and be eager and willing to share Your love for them, just as You have bestowed Your love upon us.

    “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

    I know there are people who believe that we are on the verge of Armageddon. But I believe it was meant as a warning, not as an prediction.
    We as God’s children have the power to turn our backs to evil or suffer the consequences.
    And as more and more people turn away from the dark side, good will prevail over evil.
    Keep keeping the faith.
