Between at 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. Wednesday, MSNBC played the tape of Sen. Marco Rubio taking a drink of water 155 times. Rachel “There’s No Preamble to the Constitution” Maddow played it 101 times in a row during her show.
The meme was that his awkward pause to wet his whistle was going to End His Career! (They wish. It gripes ’em No End that the Hispanic Senator from Florida is … gasp … a Republican.)
Methinks they made such an absurdly big deal about this because they couldn’t risk talking about anything he had actually SAID.
