Nielsen ratings: Week ending 8/25/13
- FoxNews 1,574,000 viewers
- MSNBC 509,000 viewers
- CNN 450,000 viewers
- AJAM 54,000 viewers <– first week on air
“AJAM’s (Al Jazeera America) launch ratings were pretty low by traditional cable news standards. … Some of the shows had so few viewers, Nielsen could not accurately calculate how many people actually watched.”
Source:

MSNBC’s ratings tumble continued with a poor August showing, with some programs seeing nearly a 50-percent drop in viewership from a year ago.

I believe MSNBC’s ratings are just below The Velcro Channel now.
“Al Jazeera debuts with ‘dismal’ ratings.” “Silence! I keeeeel yoooo!”
If ratings don’t pick up, HEADS WILL ROLL!
MSNBC, CNN and AJAM fighting it out in the ratings basement. Life is good.

Obama cautioned we not have “elevated expectations” for his MLK 50th speech. Not that we would but … wow has he sunk low. 6 years ago it was “Today is the day the planet begins to heal” to “Don’t expect much.”

They were playing SCOAMF’s stupid speech on the radio while I was out doing errands. I tried to listen, but ended up switching stations after about a minute. Just not in the mood for that much suffering.

Maybe one day. one of the alphabets will realize that putting a couple of conservatives on a morning or evening news cast will make their ratings soar, and actually be brave enough to do it.
But of course, we don’t think Fox has much to worry about.

Speaking of stupid alphabets, I read a news blerb today that the GOP kicked the conservative Heritage Foundation out of its think tank.

Also me. But I’m only registered R cuz I want to vote in the primaries and it’s required in NYS.
Dh is active with the local GOP, which is a GREAT group of people and I respect his work, but it’s not for me.
Our local Dems are like clones of the national ones … seriously, it’s creepy. I think they must work at it. Any weirdo, far leftie thing you read about … they’ll do it here too.
