While everybody is enjoying their Sunday, there was a little get-together in DC. Some Americans crashed the Lincoln Memorial yesterday until Obama’s Gestapo ran them out. They didn’t do it today.

What is interesting is that this was an NBC story. Even THEY could not spin it, though they threw only yarn balls at Obama.
We are winning!
It was a great day for patriots.

That sign: “Would somebody please give Obama a blow job so we can impeach him?” Hilarious!!!!!! And, no. I am not volunteering, ever.
The whole thing is just pure awesomeness. Stupid rules are just begging to be broken in my book. I’ve never been particularly obedient, I’m afraid to say.

I have kind of an anti-authoritarian streak myself, and if I were in DC, I’d be right there with them, knocking over the BarryCades. I am absolutely sick to death of President Temper Tantrum.

Ah, finally something Bob and I do not share … I’m Miss Goody Compliant Two Shoes with a row of gold stars on my To Do chart. It’s pushing my boundaries to blog anonymously and use my Angry Words to express my outrage.

I spent my first 21 years of my miserable life completely immersed in environments that were authoritarian to a pathological extreme. There was no escape from it anywhere. My home, the schools I went to, the churches we went to, even the places I worked — all of them extremely authoritarian, and all were infested with sick people on power trips who were positively obsessed with controlling every aspect of the lives of those beneath them. Most of the time I tried to go along to get along, because I’m allergic to confrontation and controversy, but I always chafed at it. Finally, when I was well into adulthood, I rebelled and let my inner anti-authoritarian out.

Bravo, Bob. I was in my 40s and doing a LOT of therapy before I got brave enough to just say No to my family using me as the butt of their dumb jokes.

I’m not saying I recovered quickly, mind you. It took decades of effort to deprogram myself, and I’m still working on it. Old habits die hard.

The conclusion I finally arrived at is that submission to any authority other than God is really, really overrated.

From the local scene … dh and two other military dads went to our local war memorial for a couple hours Sunday morning.
I made signs and hand-outs. Only one lady came up to ask what they were there for, but I figure she’s a leader type, since she did that. Hopefully, our message is now filtering through her network of friends and relatives.
They did get a bunch of honks and waves from cars passing. Clearly, folks were aware of the Million Veterans event and understood immediately why these 3 guys were standing there.
It probably helped dh had his ARMY DAD hoodie on. 🙂 He also had his Marine Dad hat on, but that one isn’t so easy to read from a distance.

Thanks, Pete! This is a great compilation of photos. I was too busy and tired yesterday to do this. SO glad you picked up the ball. 🙂
