I may have purchased my last bottle of Ibuprofen

I’ve been using turmeric in my cooking, but this is the first thing I’ve read that makes me think I should be stuffing it into gel caps and taking it for pain. Turmeric does bother some people, so I’ll have to go slowly. But my heart is really not happy. I can’t get up even six steps without having angina. This is definitely worth trying!

  1. Never use Ibuprofen without having some food. To do so can cause ulcers.

Aspirin too. I took an aspirin on an empty stomach with just a little Dixie cup of water and nearly died. That one tablet burned a hole in my stomach lining, hit a major vessel and I bled 2/3 of my blood volume into my belly. The doc told me that aspirin is the leading cause of legal drug related hospitalizations and that, if it weren’t so old, it wouldn’t be OTC.

Swimming and warm water exercise help tremendously – I used to say 20 laps = 2 Advil, but can’t take the Advil anymore. With aspirin I get lots of bruises, so I can only imagine what it is doing on the inside. I have been using Swanson’s Boswellia & Curcumin (turmeric), which helps me. Previously tried TerryNaturally Curamin, which seems to have similar ingredients, but that one wasn’t noticeably effective for me. I guess we need to find what works.
