May God keep him and his family safe. I’m wondering if Barry plans to offer federal disaster aid to the state that’s been the biggest pain in his bony ass. If the past is any indicator, he’ll completely brush them off as he has every other red state. It’s a safe bet Texans won’t whine about a government handout. Organizers estimated that more than a million bikers and spectators attended, making it the largest one-day motorcycle gathering in the world, Rolling Thunder spokeswoman Nancy Regg said.

Minneapolis PedalPubs Attacked With ‘Big Water Cannons,’ but Some Riders Turn Out to Be Off-Duty Cops — Watch the Aftermath
Well, anti-PedalPub activity came to a head over the weekend in Minneapolis. The rented party vehicle allegedly was attacked by other singular cyclists who pelted PedalPub passengers with water balloons and shot them with water guns. However, some PedalPub passengers quickly got their revenge.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that a possible third attack was thwarted by off-duty police officers who were the passengers. The newspaper reported that the PedalPub riders in this case saw the cyclists and pinned them on the ground to await on-duty police officers’ arrival. Other reports made it seem as if an attack was actually carried out on the off-duty, PedalPub cops.

PS 120 in Flushing held a carnival for its students Thursday, but kids whose parents did not pay $10 were forced to sit in the auditorium while their classmates had a blast.
Close to 900 kids went to the Queens schoolyard affair, with pre-K to fifth-grade classes taking turns, each spending 45 minutes outside. The kids enjoyed inflatable slides, a bouncing room and a twirly teacup ride. They devoured popcorn and flavored ices. DJs blasted party tunes.
But more than 100 disappointed kids were herded into the darkened auditorium to just sit or watch an old Disney movie while aides supervised — the music, shouts and laughter outside still audible.
The must-pay rule excluded some of the poorest kids at the elementary, where most parents are Chinese immigrant families crammed into apartments and “struggling to keep their heads above water,” staffers said.

I did this fake weather map over at DMF just for fun, because of the apocalyptic rainfall in that area, and it seemed like it was raining cats and dogs and radioactive frogs, but the giant yellow streak centered right over Dallas/FW is real.
