The fascinating thing about my regular Thursday breakfast with my kin is you’re never quite sure who will show up. This morning it was me, Uncle Bob, Uncle Roger, my cousin Trish, and my cousin Pam’s daughter, Carrie, who I haven’t seen since she was a little girl. She’s 32 and has two children. She works at a mega-church thrift store in town. We spent more than an hour eating and being peppered with questions from Carrie about the family history. There is a chalk portrait in her mother’s home she never realized was of her mother, Pam, done by my mom. She seemed enthralled by all the things she never knew and I look forward to seeing her again. I consider it of utmost importance to pass on the history of the family so when we pass on the history of who we are and where we came from can live on.
The world is a cold, hard place, unfeeling and uncaring. Many days I don’t even check what’s going on because everything seems to be wrong. It’s at a point where nothing matters much anymore outside of my faith and my family. I will still post the usual stuff as the spirit moves. God bless you all.

I just never changed it from the salad days of my bomb-throwing youth, and now I use it to vote for the least likely Dem candidate as my token protest in their primaries (e.g. Mickey Kaus over Barbara Boxer). Trump: Rubio and Jeb Playing Nice Is ‘Political Bulls–t’
Donald Trump doesn’t buy that Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush have a good relationship with each other and got a little profane during his New Hampshire speech tonight talking about it.
He did his usual anti-politician rant and talked about how Bush is viewed as Rubio’s “mentor,” so the assumption was that the latter wouldn’t run against the former. The fact that he did, Trump said, is “disloyal.”

It’s not so much that Hillary supporters are stupid, but rather the interviewer phrased the questions to encourage confirmation bias. He could have used Cruz, Trump, Biden, whomever and generated the same results.
Also, Trump’s tax plan was only a day or two old, and even today how many have actually read and memorized his position paper? And how many people were interviewed to arrive at these four?
