This is what a REAL Commander in Chief looks like

Yesterday, a group of veterans touring the Oval Office exhibit at the George W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum got a little surprise!

Veterans Day 2015

I miss this man.

Pete, thank you for the wonderful Veterans Day tribute!

I couldn’t handle doing more than texting my kids, “Thank you for your service.” I just have too many FEELINGS about it all.

Warrior Princess texted back, “It was my honor.” Oh golly. I sure am proud of my kids!! ::sniff::

You have every right to be as proud as anybody I know,my dear friend. It’s people like you that keep up the spirit of our warriors when they start to doubt their commitment. We can do what we do here because people like your daughter are willing to sacrifice. We will never, ever take that for granted.

Thank you, Pete. Also the other five. I am the very proud Milly-Mom (mil = mother in law) to 3 active Army war veterans, 1 active Army war veteran wife, and 2 retired war veteran Jarheads who are — woohoo!! — both graduating from college next month! Warrior SIL started his own business over the summer; Warrior Princess has a job that will go from part to full time at graduation. πŸ™‚ I’m so PROUD of them all!
