It hardly seems Thanksgiving is a mere week away. This is the second year SD has had dinner at her house, since it’s bigger than our apartment. I was used to DW gathering all the things to make the meal and constantly griping about having to do this every year. She’d never admit when she has a houseful of children and grandchildren she’s in her glory.
It’s at this time of year I miss Granny the most. I have such vivid memories of helping her break up the stale bread for her stuffing, pitting the grapes for her fruit salad, and watching her make the crusts for all the pies she baked. We’d come in from doing chores and the whole house was filled with smells that seemed a lot like Heaven to us kids.
It’s also distracting to see the utter failure of a president who will not accept reality nor respect the laws of civilized people. Last night he mocked republicans as being afraid of migrant women and children. It is painfully obvious he hates republicans worse than terrorists. Even some in the media are waking up… belatedly… at what they allowed him to become. Not that they’re sorry, of course. Feeling guilt requires a conscience. Rather than post them in the header I’ll put everything in the reply section and post some things that I haven’t had a chance to in awhile.

Information obtained by the government watchdog group Judicial Watch shows that the Obamas spent $3,115,688.70 in taxpayer money for travel expenses on two vacation trips and a one-day visit to New York City in 2015.
Judicial Watch filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with the U.S. Department of the Air Force to obtain the travel costs of those trips.
On June 20, Obama took Air Force One to Palm Springs, Calif., which required 10.6 hours of flying time. At a cost of $206,337 per hour, the flight (and return) cost $2,187,172.20.

They drove us out of Vietnam prematurely and ignored the hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese who were slaughtered when the Communists took over. They forced us out of Iraq prematurely and refuse to discuss the plain fact that our absence is why ISIS is so strong now. Their dipshit hashtag for those girls? It did nothing. The girls are still missing, probably raped, murdered, or married off as breeding stock to Muslim insurgents. But ask one of them about these things and see how their breasts fill with pride that THEY did their bit! I want to slap people who preen about having marched against the Vietnam war. Has anyone in the pro-refugee contingent given any thought to how the brokest nation on earth is going to pay to all these people they want to resettle here? We are eighteen trillion dollars in debt, with trillions more in unfunded liabilities, and they want us to take in thousands more people who will need housing, clothing, medical care, and food, paid for by someone else, for many years to come, if not forever. Most of the newcomers will not speak English, and most will be unemployable, even supposing there were jobs available for them. Where, exactly, is the money going to come from to pay for all the stuff these people will need?
