I’m reading “Seven Lies About Catholic History.” The author is quite an expert on the Crusades. Her summary to Catholics is essentially “Don’t apologize for the Crusades. They were not wars of aggression or colonization. They were responses to centuries of Muslim aggression, in other words, just wars.”
