Pro-Lifers Will Protest Planned Parenthood in 45 States Saturday
After the general election last year opened up the real possibility of defunding Planned Parenthood, most pro-life leaders believed that campaign would have to wait until this fall, during negotiations for the 2018 budget. But then Speaker of the House Paul Ryan announced that Congress would make defunding Planned Parenthood a priority, including it as part of a wider effort to repeal Obamacare in this year’s budget reconciliation bill.
Because the reconciliation process requires a straight up-or-down vote in the Senate, there is no possibility of a filibuster. A budget without Planned Parenthood funding was sent to the president’s desk last year, and though it was vetoed by President Obama, it set the precedent for using this creative approach.

Hill Republicans plan to kill Obama’s order on taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood
According to congressional aides, the vote is scheduled for late next week and will specifically axe Obama’s Title X rule. During his final weeks in office, Obama finalized the regulation, explicitly barring states from pulling federal grant money from clinics that provide abortion.
Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., told The Washington Examiner that the effort is about “protecting life and stopping the federal government from forcing states to support abortion.”

Why the heck should taxpayers be forced to support ANY specific business?! The Left loves to demonize business, but they act like Planned Parenthood is some kind of sacred cow. It’s not. IT’S A BUSINESS. And it is PROFITABLE enough to donate big bucks to Democrat campaigns.

GOP Introduces Bill Which Would Gut Parts Of EPA
Rolling back the power of the EPA without doing away with the agency is a good thing (and would be great for most federal agencies). They assume power, often based on the shadiest of rationales as provided by legislation (legislation needs to also be less open ended, which gives federal agencies the ability to do power grabs and create rules and regulations out of almost thin air).

House energy panel to begin heavy lift on Trump’s infrastructure plan
Increased oil and gas production from fracking has made the coal-to-gas switch possible. But even as energy production is at record levels, the nation’s “aging infrastructure needs to be improved and expanded to ensure the safe, efficient delivery of fuels to consumers,” the committee said.
Natural gas and oil pipeline construction that Trump supports will need to be part of the discussion, experts say. Trump recently issued executive orders calling on agencies to expedite the approval of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines.

This has resulted in 160 illegal alien arrests in California.
150 of them had prior felony convictions for child sex crimes and assault.
Why were they still here?
