  • By contrast, 96% of Breitbart’s Twitter followers are verified users.

TwitterAudit sorts real from fake followers by checking the number of tweets posted, the date of the latest tweet, and the ratio of followers to friends. Their aim is to tell what Twitter users have increased their follower counts by dishonest means.
