Anti-frackers are freaking JERKS

Tribeca Film Festival lies about shutting out farmers

Phelim McAleer (maker of the pro-fracking documentary FrackNation) was supposed to attend the world premiere of Gasland 2 at the Tribeca Film Festival and write a review for the New York Post.

When he got there, he asked some tough questions of Josh Fox (maker of the anti-fracking documentaries Gasland and Gasland 2) on the red carpet. The Tribeca staff then barred him, his FrackNation partner Ann McElhinney, from the screening.

Fox’s people also barred a group of farmers who had gotten up at dawn to drive from Pennsylvania to see the movie.

Phelim, Ann and all the farmers had tickets!  One farmer even said his wife was already inside, but they wouldn’t let him in once they knew he was with Phelim and Ann.

A Russian journalist was reportedly arrested for trying to cover the story of the festival keeping people out of the screening.

You know how they say, “Annoy a liberal – Use facts and logic”? They aren’t just whistling Dixie.

Rise of the Guardians

Rise of the Guardians

Rise of the Guardians is a fun flick on its own merits, but as a Christian allegory, it’s simply wonderful. Jack Frost, as a type for Jesus, dies saving his sister’s life, carries a shepherd’s crook and defeats the Boogeyman, even sending him into an “abyss” at the end!

The other guardians sum up Christian spirituality – Christmas (who travels through the air like the angels on Christmas night) and Easter (who travels via tunnels in the ground, popping out at the end) are obvious. But the Tooth Fairy (who stores good memories) and the Sandman (keeper of good dreams and hope) round out the group very nicely.

The animation is gorgeous and there are some really fun things tossed in. E.g., the goofball elves who don’t actually make toys. Santa just lets them think they do … watch the movie to find out who really does it. There are at least two blatant Harry Potter references plus some ginormous stone Easter eggs that are clearly an Easter Island reference that totally cracked me up. Nothing was made of them. I think they were just there to amuse whoever noticed.

I watched the special features and am quite sure the makers of the film had no intention of telling a Christian tale. God clearly had other ideas.

FrackNation

FrackNation

GOOD FLICK!! Dearest went to the premier in Binghamton, NY, got me a DVD signed by Phelim McAleer. I have his other 2 documentaries; he’s a bit of a hero of mine, like James O’Keefe with a cute Irish accent.

Netflix has it available for SAVE queue, which will get you bumped to the SEND queue as soon as they get the DVDs in. Dunno when that will be. If you’re hot to see it asap or don’t have Netflix, Dearest bought 3 extras to pass around.

Gun control is the crime

Click on graphics to embiggen.

If you like this, you might also want to watch the documentary that flipped my opinion on gun control 180 degrees in the space of 90 minutes.

Michael & Me (2005) – In this provocative documentary, libertarian talk-radio personality and author Larry Elder takes controversial film director Michael Moore to task and deconstructs his anti-gun film Bowling for Columbine. Elder’s debut effort borrows freely from the opinionated Moore — including an animated segment in which Elder interviews a visibly uptight Moore — to defend the Second Amendment and the rights of Americans to own and use firearms.

Occupy’s well-planned use of liberal idiots

According to “Occupy Unmasked,” a new film from Citizens United due later this summer, the Occupy movement was organized by radical leftist activists from the very beginning.

It was the radical left’s latest program, a continuation of the anti-war movement from the sixties.

It followed a three-tiered model the Left had used before.

The “green” group consisted of useful idiots, regular liberal citizens who came to protest.

The “yellow” group consisted of individuals willing to break the law, like handcuffing themselves across a road.

The “red” group consisted of the most violent anarchist organizers and professional agitators. They were there to create scenes that swept innocent “greens” into confrontations with the police.

The film is rated ‘R’ for violence and vulgarity. Regular people didn’t see any of that footage in the alphabet media’s largely pro-Occupy reporting. Below is the link to the trailer, which frankly I find disturbing as hell.

Occupy Unmasked – Official Movie Trailer – Citizens United Productions [2:26]

The trailer for the new film produced by Citizens United and directed by Stephen K. Bannon. “Occupy Unmasked” goes deep into the “Occupy” movement and exposes its origins as well as the radical ideas behind “income inequality” that has become the centerpiece of the Obama re-election effort.

Coming to theaters in wide release September 21, 2012!
http://www.lastouncethemovie.com/

DVD release date TBA.

Film Synopsis:

This holiday movie tells the heartwarming story of a local war hero whose son goes off to war. His new wife brings Christian, his first son in to the world while the young hero is away at war earning medals for valor. However, the tragedy that ensues on a cruel battlefield will change everyone’s life forever as Tom Revere is laid to rest giving his ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Fourteen years passes and the young baby grows to be a teenager (Christian Revere) and with his mother, (Carrie Revere) comes back to the small town of Mount Columbus nestled in the Rocky Mountains during the holiday season to be with his family.

Christian disconnects with his grandfather (Bob Revere) as they both are going through the pain of losing a Dad and the loss of a son by Bob. In this beautiful story of love and forgiveness, they discover a way to unite and to make a difference in their community by claiming their freedom of expression. The grandfather is the pharmacist and mayor of the town who realizes that freedoms are being taken away and the first battle is to restore the Christmas holiday in his home town where he is mayor. For this “battle” he will lose in many ways, but his gain is for a higher price.

Concluding the film is one of the most dramatic orations given in any movie where Bob challenges the town to “Wake Up” and begin to take back the freedoms that are being lost, one by one. This movie is set at the Christmas season and is sure to inspire a spark of holiday joy in your heart.

The cast includes Marshall Teague (Roadhouse), Jennifer O’Neill (Summer of ‘42), Fred Williamson (Black Ceasar) and Jenna Boyd (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants).

I Want Your Money

Dearest and I watched this. It’s very well done! Highly recommend.

I Want Your Money – 2010 PG 92 minutes

From Netflix: Drawing on presidential speeches, comic animation and graphics, this rousing political documentary examines the U.S. economy and holds the government accountable, with Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama pitted as flip sides of the federal spending coin. The film describes the course of the American dream during recent administrations, with such politicos as Ken Blackwell, Mike Huckabee and Andrew Breitbart putting in their two cents.

From Netflix Customer Reviews:

I expected criticism of Obama, but was pleasantly surprised by the criticism of W. I also liked the fact that JFK was shown as a refreshing example of a fiscally conservative Democrat. This was much less Republican propaganda than I expected. It fulfilled all my expectations in its exposure of corrupt power-hungry politicians (from both parties).

I’ve been voting in presidential elections since 1972. I was a Democrat then with idealistic visions of a government which creates a Utopia for us all. It didn’t happen. As I matured over the years I saw the folly of big government and the destructive influence of entitlement programs which tend to destroy personal ambition. This film brings the issue into such a sharp focus that I can honestly say that EVERY VOTER SHOULD SEE THIS FILM. Nowdays I vote for the person whose values I share. Mostly conservatives.

This movie should be viewed by every American who intends to vote in the next election in 2012, no matter if you are Democrat or Republican. This movie asks the question do you want to control your own destiny or do you want a nanny state incompetent government control your destiny, along with your hopes and dreams. It leaves the message that government does not create jobs it can only provide the environment for Americans to build businesses that create jobs. Every High School kid in America should be forced to view this movie.
