Thursday’s Path – April 14, 2011

[Just an extra note … the surgery photo circulated the net with text about how the baby “reached out and grabbed the doctor’s finger as if to say thank you.” This was poetic, but false. The mother and baby were both anesthetized. ]

Seeing Chrissy’s post I’m reminded of the heartbreaking story told by the former nurse from Mercy hospital in Chicago who told of holding little babies who had survived attemped abortions while they gasped for air until they died. They were routinely put in soiled linen closets until they expired from lack of attention.
In case you weren’t aware, the sorry pile of cow flop currently squatting in the peoples’ house killed Illinois’ version of BAIPA(Born Alive Infants Protection Act)not once, but three times in committee.I’m only sorry Stanley Ann didn’t share his zeal for murdering innocent children-I daresay we’d be better off.
Hug your children and grandchildren and thank Almighty God for the most precious gift mortal man can receive. And keep them away from liberals.

I read that nurse’s testimony. IIRC, she would rock the baby until it died. God bless her for doing that act of kindness.

Chrissy, I love how you included the poetic but false bit – I hate misleading/false e-mail forwards and I love your dedication to what is true! But it’s still a great pic and even greater is what those doctors did for that child!

Dee, ITA on all counts. I felt the overly imaginative text in that viral email hurt us by giving the Left a reason to sneer at what was, all by its truthful self, a very powerful piece of Pro-Life testimony.

I wouldn’t wish that on anybody;its just his callous attitude toward the unborn sickens me.What if one of his daughters didn’t want to be “punished with a baby.”How would he feel if it was his grandchild?

      • I hear ya Pete. I was pro-choice, til I became a grandparent. 3 times. Same kids I didn’t think could be responsible for a puppy, sigh.

Stanley Ann, Bam’s mum, was a radical lefty. Hated kids, according to her circle of “friends”….funny she had two, with different baby daddies. Bless her heart for the choice, but the rest of her history doesn’t match up? I’m not a birther, I’m a proofer 😉

      • This illustrates one of the fundamental differences between the pro-abortion crowd and the pro-life crowd, and why we often seem to be talking right past each other. I used to do a lot of public speaking, radio interviews, etc. for Wisconsin Right to Life, and I often got put on with a spokesman for a pro-abortion organization (to provide “balance”) and/or had to take calls from the audience members who were pro-abortion. These folks would sometimes try to score debating points by saying that pro-lifers don’t like abortion until they or someone they love needs one. The usual formulation was, “What if your teenage daughter got pregnant? THEN you’d be thankful that abortion is safe and legal!” It always flabbergasted me that they thought I cared more about the children of total strangers than I would care about my own grandchild — i.e., that I objected to abortion when it killed other people’s babies, but if my daughter were carrying my grandchild, I’d be on the phone calling the local abortionist to make an appointment. Bizarrely, they always seemed to consider this a very persuasive argument. You could just see them thinking to themselves,”Aha! Gotcha!” It made me realize that our respective world views were so different, we might as well have been from different planets.
