He was a little feral kitty (although the “feral” didn’t last longer than a few seconds, once he was rescued!). His leg, right above the knee, was trapped between two boards, for 3 days at least, in the blistering summer heat. At first it looked like it might be OK, but ugly (he’d chewed most of his foot pads off), but as time went on, it just got nastier and nastier until the whole bottom portion fell off. I thought they’d just clip the bone up higher and pull the skin around it, but it’s lopped off right at the hip…not that he’s letting that inhibit him very much!

I guess that’s the advantage to having four legs. If you lose one, you can still get around pretty well on the remaining ones!
