This is a test. Rough draft. Whatever you wanna call it. I like what I’ve got so far, esp how he’s aiming at a live donkey we can’t see. Like one down, etc. I think it still needs some background smoothing and I dunno … something. Border. Text. Ideas?
Pete, if you like, next time you try to do a report, see if you can either copy this one and change the title … I think there’s a button down at the bottom to use a previous post as a template.
If not, the graphic is in the media library, so it’ll be easy for you to stick up with a new title, then publish and add your report items as comments.
If this doesn’t work, we can always think of something else. π

I’m willing to try;I haven’t been to the dashboard yet,bit I hope I can find the button for using old post as a template.Alsa, where’s the media library located?

On my screen, they’re like this.
Click “New Post” in BLOG drop down menu. Under the big white box, is a gray box named “Writing Helper.” On the left in that box is “Copy a Post.” Find the previous Grudge and click “Copy.” The whole thing will pop into the white title and text boxes where you can make changes and publish.
If that works, you won’t need the library. But if you want to see it, click “Dashboard” in BLOG drop down menu. On left side, under “Media”, click “Library.” The images we’ve all uploaded will appear in the big box.

My contribution to the Friday grudge
LOOK what it took to get Obama to cut short his vacation, and get back to work. NOT the downgrading of US credit for the first time in history, NOT the market crashing or the sky falling down, but rather a hurricane to blow him out of here, i.e., the Vineyard. (and people on the East Coast have to endure a storm of historic proportions just to get him to do so!):

Obama Ends Vacation Early
Aug 26, 2011 1:50 PM EDT
President Obama will cut his vacation a bit short as a result of Hurricane Irene, and leave Marthaβs Vineyard on Friday evening instead of Saturday morning as previously scheduled. Irene is expected to cause problems up and down the East Coast. A White House spokesman said, βI think the president simply reached the conclusion that it would be more prudent to be in Washington D.C., and to be at the White House at the end of the day today.β

I think this is hysterical. Jesus calmed the storm. Barry ran from it. ::snort::

This is the youtube I couldn’t post this morning;I caught this on Hannity last night and was screaming at the TV.Hannity is such a sissy,I can’t stand him anymore. When Ghoulish started sobbing about what a mess they were given,I’d have pinned his ears back.
Great,now I can’t paste youtubes.The hell with it.

Do you want me to sign up for it? Or I could mail you a check if you want to sign up, which may be wiser, since I have no clue how to even post a video. It is the least I can do to thank everyone. Just e-mail me and let me know how you want to handle it.

It shouldn’t be necessary for YouTube videos. The upgrade is only if we want to host the videos directly on WP, ’cause they take up a lot of space.

So if we stick with videos that are on YouTube we don’t have to cough up?

Here’s a list of the videos that can be embedded for free:

This page gives the instructions for inserting an image using the URL. If you follow this method, the image will not be added to our media library and take up space, because it is already hosted elsewhere on the internet. (Many images on websites can be clicked and it will take you to a page containing just the image. This is the URL you want to copy and use.)

Hmm … almost all of my graphics are posted at CSB. I was not able to post my videos from there, but maybe the still pics will work. Gonna try and see.

Nope. They block Webshots images. Well, if we run out of space here, we can take up a collection. Between the 15 of us, it shouldn’t break anyone’s budget! LOL

Try these steps:

1. Click on the Webshots image you want to use until you see this box (you may have to click more than once):
2. Click the button that says “Link to it” and you should see this box:
3. Copy the code for “direct link to image”
4. When inserting the image into your post, click the tab that says “From URL” and paste this code directly into the box that says “Image URL.”
I tested it out, so it should work (unless I forgot a step). Let me know if you have any problems.
