   Chrissy, this reminds me of a great story I read many years ago. It was written by a feminist reporter at the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and she was writing about some kind of convention she was helping to put on for aspiring young feminists. Looking over the list of topics to be covered in the various sessions, she saw one that had a title along the lines of “Having It All: Family, Career, Success, Love,” etc. Although the writer was a pretty doctrinaire feminist, she was realistic enough to know that “having it all” is a crock, so she went to the convention organizer, pointed to the topic in question, and said, “Why are we lying to these young women?” And the organizer said, “Oh, we canceled that workshop, because there wasn’t enough time.” 🙂
