Would one of of you admin tech types like to add a countdown to election day clock here? I think it’s free.

    • WordPress doesn’t allow iframes (It’s a security issue), but I’ll try to figure out if there’s some other way we can do it.

Thanks for trying, Rose. It’s not loading right on my screen though. 😦 The right half is cut off. I only see “Election Da”. … Oh, and the time’s wrong as well. It says 376 days but that can’t be right. That’s more than a year, but it’s less than a year now.

Okay … weirdness. It suddenly changed to show more, but still not the entire thing. The right side cuts off at “Sec” … oops, my bad. I pushed Ctl-Minus and it shows perfectly. Ignore everything I just said LOL.

And the date. I think it’s set for October 25, not November.

              • Ok…got it fixed. I didn’t understand how they coded the months, so I put in 11, naturally thinking that would be November. Apparently, it begins at 0, so 11 is December!

Oooooookay, I guess that makes sense to somebody. Not me, but we have already had abundant evidence that my brain cells are pretty much cooked. LOL

                • Believe me…sometimes I sound like I know more than I really do! WP doesn’t allow Javascript in a widget, so I had to use some workaround code I found in the forums. Basically, it just required copying and pasting the code they provided, then substituting a few sections, one of them being the end date for the countdown clock in a format similar to Year=2012, Month=11, Day=6. For some reason, 11 is December, so I had coded it to end on December 6, 2012. That may be standard HTML code for months, but, again, I’m not experienced enough at HTML to know that.

  2. Wouldn’t it be great if more businesses put signs like that in their windows?
