     I think those are both useful graphs. The second one needs to be updated to include both the last debt limit increase and the one about to be passed, but it’s still highly informative… especially in light of this:

     Thanks for even suspecting me! These are strong graphically, though I think the labels need tweaking. It isn’t clear that the party control thing refers to Congress.

       I think it’s supposed to refer to Congress, but needs correction… they show the 104th as split, when it was actually Republican in both houses.

         And they have the 107th and 108th backwards…
         107th was split, 108th was Republican in both houses.

           Argh. I trusted them and didn’t CHECK before doing yet another goofed up graphic that will need changing AFTER I loaded it to Webshots. I’ve got to be more careful. [smackingselfwithwetnoodle]
