Sometimes You Just Need a Change of Pace

Life was simpler, once upon a time. So many modern annoyances didn’t even exist! On the other hand, our forefathers were missing out on a lot of conveniences that we enjoy without a second thought. All in all, I think I’d still choose the “shortcuts”. Although, back then it wouldn’t have mattered that I don’t know how to turn Tina’s blogpost into a clickable link….

  1. Tee-hee… I turned it into a clickable link for you. (You’re welcome.)
Love Tina’s post! Anything that makes me laugh out loud is all to the good. These days we need all the laughter we can get.

Thank you, thank you! I knew some competent person would fix it for me. 😎 That blog post made me laugh until I cried, especially since I had, I mean “got”, to watch her struggle through the whole process….

ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLMAOOOOOO…. I was wondering why we hadn’t heard much about Tina’s escapades. She was quilting. ROFFFLLLL snort

Day 92: Learned how to blanket stitch today. Tricky, but used the trusty ol’ pioneer standby “You-tube Tutorial”, so finally got it. To add to the authentic, rustic appeal I decided to make my stitches random and uneven. It was hard to overcome my native talent for perfect stitching, but I want this quilt to look just as if a young Laura Ingalls had stitched it herself.

P.s., You daughter got good genes. PRETTY lady! Also, love that cat. Reminds me of Gabriel, my favoritest kitty ever. Even the super in my building liked him and he HATED cats.

P.P.S., blogspot sucks! ARGHHHHH. I tried twice to leave a comment and both times I got my wrist slapped and had my comment deleted! Sheesh. Please tell Tina for me,

You MUST keep that quilt! You’re going to have at least one descendant who treasures the past the way you do and that person will be very blessed to own something you made with your own hands.

Or, if you ever do go deer hunting and are mistaken for a school bus and then eaten by wolves, they can use the blood stains to match your DNA to the remains.

Seriously, though … please print out the blog on to acid-free cardstock, punch holes in the corners and baste it to the back of the quilt so the story stays with the quilt forever. Or if it’s too long, maybe make it into a little book and sew a pocket with a button flap to the back of the quilt to store it in securely.
