I read an article recently by someone who used to work for WIC, and she talked about young mothers in expensive designer clothes coming in to pick up their checks, then going out and driving away in their Lexuses and BMWs. Disgusting. No one who drives a luxury car should be taking taxpayer handouts.

I had a wonderful nutritionist when I was on WIC. Corporal K had a lot of problems left over from her difficult gestation, had Failure To Thrive (gained 4 OUNCES between her 2 and 4 months visits!). This lady was so much help to me. She said once it was moms like me that kept her at the job. Most of the ladies (she gestured to a couple waiting their turn, wearing clothes and leather knee high boots I couldn’t afford), “just come in here, grab the check out of my hand and stalk out. If I try to talk to them about nutrition, they tell me they don’t care about that crap.”

On the name of Dad….Well, the president is not president of US to those trying to take it over. Obama is their darling, their hero, their prophet-status terrorist leader for managing to become president of America. He is a leader for the nation of islam. Now, this is not personal opinion so much as simply lining up BHO’s actions and reactions. I think I am still in denial that this can be remotely true, even with seeing Obama’s behavior lined up. the kicker is, his letter said the culprits would be held accountable — making it sound like this was a “hate” crime or something. They were burned, supposedly because they had originally been provided to muslim detainees, they in turn wrote in them; remember, these were books held by extremists. They were burned to keep them out of other extremists hands to read what may have contained codes and/or extremist commands(as in terrorist acts).
The two troops killed were in retaliation for the burning of these korans. Other news agencies around the world are reporting mob violence and killing mandates in response to these burnings. So, to stop the killings for burning a book that potentially put our troops in danger, our president apologizes! He should have said, “Look, we will burn whatever the hell we need to to protect our troops and country. Eat shit. You so much as dare attempt to kill any American over this, we bring in 100,000 troops, that by the way are on standby, in and do some serious business. And…..don’t think we would not dare nuke the shit out your country, either. We don’t have a problem burning any book. How quickly you forget we burned Bibles on an American Base because they were offensive to the country we were in. We regret appeasing you then as it leads to this shit.” (Why don’t our leaders have balls??? Are they all loyal to foreign governments?) No reason and NO EXCUSE for Newt, Mitt, Ron, Rick to remain silent.

There’s a great episode of Dirty Jobs about a dairy farmer who produces all his family’s energy needs by fermenting his cows’ manure. He’s the guy who invented Cow Pots. He takes the poo, sucks out the liquids and sends that to a fermenting pond where he collects the gasses and uses them to fuel his farm and home. After that’s done cooking, he pumps it to the fields to fertilize his cow’s feed corn. He takes the solids and makes them into pots that go right into the ground with the plant. They biodegrade and feed the plant, no plastic pot to send to landfill.

I may be ready for the pretty little white suit; you know the one that ties my arms around the back? It is surreal to watch the guy. Earlier he was saying all the money we would save drilling our own oil could be had just by us all inflating our tires and maintaining our cars and waking or biking to work. Now all of a sudden he just mouths off the Republican sound bites about drilling. Pretty soon his slogan will be, “Drill, Baby, drill!”. The guy cuts Keystone but now stumps the need to retrieve our own oil. Makes one think living in alternative universe.

Hey Pete, today is gonna be invigorating once I get time to read the Grudges. Suggestion: To make it understandable to those not in the know (like those I am referring here) perhaps you could put at the end of your intro something like, “More Grudges posted withing the comment section.”
Now on to business. Putting aside the validity of Ron Paul in general and who is a Ronbot and who is not……something smells fishy, as in orchestrated about this blast of theorizing on the Romney-Paul connection. How convenient as it hurts the both of them. The whole thing looks like a liberal stategy — announce as theory and keep talking until it sounds true. Remember jounolist? Well, more and more it is starting to look like, as this is not the first blitz (others were not about Paul), like the conservative media version. Out of nowhere, overnite, all the biggie talk show people and blogs (some not biggies but somehow on the bandwagon with the same talking points) are talking the same thing. Really credible people are talking like because a son says he would consider being vp for Mitt, then the father would sell out and make a deal?? Just as it was asked who first framed the contraception question we need to ask who first framed the question to Rand Paul? I am not for Paul but that does not mean I have to turn a blind eye to “our guys” doing the same crap the liberals and journolists did. Like I said, something smells really fishy here. I googled “Ron Paul ads against Mitt Romney” and came up with quite a few negative ads, approved by Paul, against Romney. Also, links to debates and interviews where he was negative against Mitt. So, what really gives? Romney people will be pissed if they think he is with Paul and Paul people will feel the same if he sold out to Mitt. Just because the results kills two that probably need killing with one stone doesn’t make it less ugly and Chicago-style politics. If others can’t win on their own merit and have to resort to destroying the opponent (remember Obo’s digging info on competitor for Illinois senate seat?), do we really want them anymore than the two guys bumped out? Something weird about the blitz and it just makes me think………can’t say I have come to a conclusion….My gut is usually pretty good.

Rand Paul was interviewed on local Chicago radio this morning. He scoffed that this whole theory was just political chatter. But IMHO he was not very emphatic that it was nonsense. Something is fishy for sure.

Pete … I love the format. It’s exactly what I was trying to describe. And I think GP is right. A regular note to newbies in the blog body would be good. Once folks get used to the format, I think we may find some of our lurkers dropping in a word or two. And wouldn’t that be grand! Actually I found it works better this way;Before I had to open and then minimize 10-14 windows to C&P and my machine would start to run slower than a democrat reaching for the dinner tab.Now I just do a couple at a time.I will put a note in the original post to guide newbies.I find it fascinating to see what others have to say.We have some really sharp,insightful people here.

Posting images in a comment requires jumping through more hoops than putting them in an original post. That’s the downside to the new format. What I would do if I were you, Pete, is put any still images into your original post at the top of the page. Then the YouTubes and other links can be put into comments. Make it easy on yourself!

check this page out. There is a plugin you can add that allows pics in the comment section. I imagine you may get a questionable pic from a contributor every so often but an admin can quickly remove it. I’m telling you folks, IL would be a red state if we had a fair fight.
Illinois has had 11 Republican congressmen and eight Democrats since the November 2010 election. The new map, designed by the dominant state Democrats, could flip that advantage to as many as 12 Democrats and only six Republicans.
The dems don’t like it so they cheat. They made sure to get the democrat Gov in (after finding enough votes to overcome the GOP winner after a recount) so that there would be no veto of their new voting districts. IL lost one Fed. house member, mostly because of people leaving crook county. But that does not stop the Chicago machine. They just chopped up all the surrounding suburbs so that dems will most likely get control. My town went from one rep ( a republican) to three (most likely dems) after we were chopped up and added to democRAT sections. This just makes my blood boil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those not so observant, like me. I only noticed today that after I log into WordPress there is a little number up in the WP bar toward the right side. It ranges from 0-?. To my surprise it is a counter to be clicked on that takes you right to responses to my comments. Scroll over a response and it will give you the entire response. You don’t have to search through 60 comments to find where you commented to see if someone answered! Yeah, I know I am a little slow on the uptake sometimes; you all probably knew this???/?
