   Who names their kid soledad anyway? And was she telling hillary to drop out too?

     Hispanic Catholics. The name is from a Spanish title for the Virgin Mary, Maria de Soledad. Soledad means “solitude, loneliness; remoteness; grief.” Similar titles in English are Our Lady of Sorrows or Mother of Sorrows. The Latin version, Mater Dolorosa, is the root of the girl’s name Dolores. The most famous artistic representation of the Sorrowful Mother is Michelangelo’s Pieta.

   I had never heard of Soledad O’Brien until that clip of her with the Breitbart guy was linked here a few weeks ago. This was the clip when she was trying to belittle the importance of Derek Bell’s “Critical Race Theory”. I wish that I had never heard of her still because she makes my blood pressure go up, I fear. The media is just a nest of vipers on the whole, I think.
