Citizen’s Demand to Slash U.S. Funding of the United Nations

Whereas, the United States spends as much as a whopping 2 BILLION TAX DOLLARS in annual dues payments to the United Nations;

Whereas, there are also the “voluntary payments,” which means in total, we paid a whopping $7.7 billion to the UN in fiscal year 2010 — an estimated 27 percent of all UN expenses and more than all of the other permanent members of the Security Council combined;

Whereas, this money is used to provide a platform for nations who despise us and oppose our American values of democracy, justice, free enterprise, privacy and private property rights;

Whereas, our tax dollars are paying for a rag-tag collection of dictators and socialists to propagandize and work against our security and economic interests;

Whereas, the thanks that we get for the generations of Americans who fought in the trenches of France during World War I and stormed the shores of Normandy, as well as died to defend freedom in countless other places around the world is blistering criticism;

Whereas, when we try to isolate the rogue dictatorships that are developing nuclear weapons and other threats to our and the world’s security, we are often met with NO votes and multiple veto threats, while the UN eagerly hosts the likes of Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez, who come to our soil and attack and insult our nation;

Whereas, when the United States rushed to help the injured, starving and dying in the wake of the massive earthquake in Haiti, we were accused by a UN official of trying to “occupy” the nation;

Whereas, the UN is worse than a wasteful, bloated paper tiger — it is a paper tiger intent on biting the hand that feeds it — the United States of America;

I, therefore, demand that we SLASH the billions of tax dollars we spend on the United Nations!

    Got this in email 🙂

    Yesterday I got my Tax Return “Returned”

    I was trying to get a jump on doing my taxes this year, however, the IRS sent my Tax Return back!!
    I guess it was because of my response to the line, which said:
    “List All Dependents”

    So, I replied:

    12 million illegal immigrants
    3 million crack heads
    45 million unemployable people on food stamps
    2 million people in over 243 prisons
    and 535 fools in the U.S. House and Senate.

    Apparently, this was NOT acceptable..

    So I sent it back with a question “Did I forget someone?”
