June 20, 2012: Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters,
“I could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day. I’m not kidding. There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him.”
Asked on what grounds she could have arrested Rove, Pelosi replied, “Oh, any number. But there were some specific ones for his being in contempt of Congress. But we didn’t.”

Karl Rove was senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to former President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2007. The time period he speaks of in the video was the summer of 2008, when Democrats had the majority in the House (Speaker Pelosi) and the Senate (Leader Reid).
The video clip below is a news story from that period. I include it only because I think the MSNBC reporter’s breathless tone is interesting in light of how little coverage the LSM is giving AG Holder’s Fast and Furious hearings. At MSNBC in particular, that always-level-headed paragon of journalistic integrity, Chris Matthews, called it “racist.” What a shocker. NOT.
