I was considering whether or not to do a Saturday post,but there’s so much left over from the convention and the upcoming freak show the democrats are planning I thought I’d go ahead in case anybody’s around.

The photo is attributed to MANDEL NGAN/AFP/Getty Images, so I went to Getty Images and did a search for “Fort Bliss.” There are a bunch of color and black and white pics there showing the same odd lighting . Apparently, only some of the audience was under some kind of cover and the mountains were in the background.
I’ve noticed this odd “fake” look in photos my kids took where the land is really flat then way out in the distance, mountains pop up. The distance makes them blue, but there is no buildings or anything in between to provide perspective for all the space between the camera and the mountains, so the photo appears to have something wrong with it.

I really hope I can watch the VP debate in toto on the internet. I turned off television in 1979 and there have been very few times since when I missed it. This would be one of them. … On second thought, I really do not miss the extraneous coverage at all. It’s been a pure pleasure watching just the speeches from the GOP, minus talking heads telling me what I should or should not have seen, heard or concluded all on my own.
