It never occurred to me until he mentioned it that anyone would think BXVI would be maneuvering to hand-pick his successor. Shortly after listening to this, I saw comments to that effect at Twitchy. Also a very “right on” tweet about how we should brace ourselves for weeks and weeks of non-stop Catholic bashing.
