We experienced something almost as stupid and vindictive with a foster kid we sheltered. She worked at a local convenience store and inadvertently gave the manager’s husband information that led to him figuring out his wife was cheating on him. The manager fired her and then filed charges for “stealing” less than a dollar’s worth of Coke. It was a simple oversight and something that had happened many times to other clerks, because the counter at the checkout is so jammed with point of sale display crap.
We lived 1/4 mile from the store and the manager knew that AND had our number. She made no effort to contact us or the kid to pay for the soda, just called the cops. Dh and teen had to miss work/school and taxpayers had to pay a Public Defender to appear in court FOUR TIMES. Each time, the DA didn’t show up at all or had done nothing, so the judge continued the case. The fourth time, he FINALLY said screw it and dismissed the case. The woman who started it all never had to appear even once.

This is one thing that Carrey actually gets right. These vacs are destroying the brains of our children. It use to be that kids were exposed to just a few in their lifetime. Now they are injected over and over with toxins that their little bodies and brains cannot tolerate.
Autism is rampant today and there can be no other explanation. Bill Gates is taking these vacs third world nations, and the kids are showing immediate reactions, in places where autistic behaviors were unheard of.
What really burns me is that Jenny McCarthy, who has become and advocate because of her own son’s autism, does nothing with the money she raises to help the kids in her own neighborhood. It mostly goes to the rich kids like hers who do not need the support.

I object to the wholesale acceptance OR dismissal of vaccines. Each one has risks and benefits. It’s up to the parents and doctors to discuss individual cases and make good choices.

Parents are under extreme pressure to accept vaccines on behalf of their infants and small children, and they are seldom informed of the possible risks, other than fever (the doc always hands you a prescription for acetaminophen to bring the fever down). They are told they are irresponsible parents, even abusive ones, if they don’t go along with the program. The drug companies keep coming up with new vaccines all the time, including for sexually transmitted diseases, and they want to inject these into NEWBORNS. When my last baby was born 18 years ago, I had to insist that the hospital staff not vaccinate her against whatever STD it was they wanted to vaccinate her for; it had already become routine.
Nowadays they vaccinate for common childhood diseases that are harmless to healthy children. When I was a kid there were no vaccines for measles, mumps, rubella, or chicken pox; every kid had them, and it was never any big deal — you missed a few days of school, when you went back to school you got caught up. The rationale for these vaccines is so the mother won’t have to miss a couple of days of work caring for a sick child. In other words, it’s all about the convenience of the mother, not the health of the child.

Obviously I was very fortunate to have had a great doctor. We talked about each vaccine and planned which were appropriate and how best to administer them to maximize my kids’ abilities to benefit.

I just want to say that I love my church. I grew up there, was married there, my children were baptized and confirmed there, my niece was recently married there, my Dad is interred there in the churchyard cemetery, and I will be, too, one day. My church first opened in 1878 in the middle of the countryside outside Richmond and when I was married there were still only about 150 members. But as the suburbs spread out we grew and grew and we had to build a new church and fellowship hall and education building in the early 90’s. My husband built it and it is the thing that we will always be most proud of. It took about 2 years and took so much of our time that we had to live off our savings those years, but isn’t that the point, after all is said and done?
On Sunday, the children will file into the sanctuary during the processional (“Jesus Christ is Risen Today” of course!) and place flowers they bring from h ome on a grapevine cross at the altar. Maybe your church has this same tradition – the flowering of the cross. It is so beautiful!
Here is a link to a little 5 minute video about St. Mary’s, giving some of the history, but at about the 4 minute mark you can see some of the construction in progress. It was a labor of love.
