He told us he wanted a private army. DHS and FEMA have now got themselves an army, allegedly to defend our borders, which they apparently don’t do. See story above.
The Obama Army is also supposedly all about protecting us from terrorists, but since DHS Secy Napolitano told police and sheriffs across the country years ago that pro-lifers and war veterans were “potential terrorist threats”, let me just take THAT with a big ol’ grain of salt.
Then there’s all that racist hate and incitement to violence (“If they bring a knife, we bring a gun”) that Obama indulges in on a routine basis. Not to mention the preferential treatment his DOJ has given to black perpetrators, all the while targeting Obama’s political enemies.

My brow has creased lately over the disgusting number of former “conservative” Republicans who have suddenly become foot-kissing Obama lovers.
Am I cynical or just realistic to think these people have been visited by operatives bearing some combination of graft, bribery, blackmail and information about how Obama is taking over the nation, so they better get with Teh Won’s agenda or be on the first train to the camps.
As for me, I stopped clicking those “like this if you agree” stuff at Facebook. It seems too easy for the coming overlords to set up a faux rightwing site, then track whoever clicks like. I’m even relieved that our hit count is down.
Cripes. If I’d read this a year ago, I’d have rolled my eyes and said this person needed to be fitted with a tinfoil hat. But that was when I still thought our election process was free. One of the things I’m going to google when I get to Heaven is, “What was the actual vote count in 2012?”

We’ve been watching this amazing multi-disk series “Against All Odds: Israel Survives” which I highly recommend.
One thing that jumped out at me were images of the land before Jews took over and what it’s like now.
It reminded me of a science fiction series I enjoy about a planet called Pern. Pern’s constitution granted ownership of any chunk of land that someone could “hold” for a designated period of time. I forget exactly, but it was maybe 7-10 years.
“Holding” was defined in two ways: Preventing anyone else from physically killing you or moving you and yours off the land AND developing the land itself, clearing, planting, building, etc.
IOW, it wasn’t enough to just claim a chunk of land. You had to also defend it from incursion AND make something better out of it. Some of the books deal with Toric, a really greedy guy who marked off a big chunk of land on the map and said, “I was here first and ALL of this is mine.” But when another guy settled a chunk of that land with his own people, defended it successfully from Toric’s troops AND developed it, the council granted the other guy full rights and told Toric to suck an egg.
Watch the Israel series. You’ll be glad you did. It’s very faith building.

The music went pretty well. Attendance was way down, lower than I’ve ever seen for an Easter Sunday service, but the ones who came had a good time. My choristers did a good job with all their songs. But I definitely need to recruit some more competent musicians to work with me. First I lost my guitarist, then my trumpet player, and I miss them both terribly.
As you know, Sunday was my baby’s 18th birthday, which was kind of traumatic for me. Now I’m dealing with a whole new set of challenges, which you are surely doomed to hear more about before long…
