Anthea Butler tweeted the following catty, sexist remarks about Sarah at CPAC.
Butler is an Assoc. Prof. of Religious and Africana Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and a regular guest on MSNBC’s Melissa Harris Perry Show.
She is also the author of “The Gospel According to Sarah” which Amazon says is about how Palin’s “committed core of ‘Christians on steroids’ … make traditional evangelicals like James Dobson and Pat Robertson seem almost mainstream” and will teach alert readers how to hear the “regular dog whistle of Christian buzzwords Palin uses to rally her base.”
Poor Anthea doesn’t much like getting scratched back. After posting her catty remarks, she blocked her Twitter account. Her latest tweet is just precious:
Invective?
“Look at the black calling the kettle ‘pot’.” -Archie Bunker
And from both sides?
Bless her heart. As if Lefties ever criticize each other for slandering one of us. ::snort::
From our side though … heck yeah. Here’s the #1 fave “meow back atcha” comment posted @ Twitchy:
Looks like Lieutenant Uhura stuck her finger in an EPS conduit and then ate Scotty.
Tee hee.

I wonder why she was even in attendance at CPAC. Just trying to get something going, I guess. Those tweeters are in a league of their own – I can only wish I had that kind of wit, and since I do not, I will continue admiring it without participating.

She couldn’t listen to Sarah because Sarah is too thin? WTF?

Just imagine the uproar if Sarah had gone to hear this woman, and tweeted that she needs to stop scarfing down pork sandwiches.

::snort:: Lots of the comments at Twitchy were about how distracting this prof’s physique might be to her students.
