The good news is that we know that Conservative (Classical Liberal) policies, properly applied, lead to substantial growth. We can turn this country around, just like Thatcher and Reagan did 30+ years ago. We just need an electorate that is informed enough to know that the policies of Thatcher and Reagan can bring true recovery, and vote for conservatives in force in 2014. It’s a tremendous stretch, but if we can reach 2/3 majorities in both Houses (and not all of that 2/3 has to be Republicans if we can get some red-state Democrats to vote with Republicans), then we can override any Obama veto, and control which judicial nominees get confirmed by the Senate. If the Conservative wave is big enough in 2014, we can move a conservative agenda forward starting in 2015, and not have to wait for 2017.
Call me a dreamer, but I choose to believe. I have to.
We can have a recovery that restores the Employment-population ratio back to the average that we enjoyed for 144 continuous months (12 continuous years) during the Republican majority of Jan 1995 – Dec 2006. If we do that, literally 12 Million more people will be employed.
