Some tweeters agreed with Jonathan … but not in the way he’d like.

  • Yes, Nixon’s dirty tricks. Plus Carter’s bad economy and Clinton’s dishonesty.
  • Such a comparison IS ridiculous, but only because Tricky Dick never even tried half of the crap Barack Hussein has pulled.
  • Nixon only thought about using the IRS against his enemies, Obama actually did it.
  • The comparison is a slap in the face to Nixon.
  • I agree. Nixon didn’t kill anybody.
  • If I were to pick a president to compare Obama to, I wouldn’t choose Nixon. I’d choose Mugabe. They both looted the Treasury to redistribute wealth to their cronies, blamed all of their failures on imaginary white racism, devalued their currencies by printing money, used the power of their Government to harass opponents and silence opposition voices, and turned productive farmland into wasteland (i.e. California’s central valley).

    I have a problem with the alleged dirty tricks of Nixon.

    Granted, he did do some sleazy things that became public knowledge. However, HE DID NOT END UP INVESTIGATING ANYONE VIA THE IRS because the IRS refused to cooperate.

    Does anyone understand that point? The IRS refused Nixon’s request, yet under Obama the opposite has taken place and there have been audits etc of conservative people. The Gibson guitar case is a stand out because in that case the owner of the business was a Republican donor and did not give to the Obama campaign. There are so many stories coming to light that it is in fact breath-taking.

    To add to that you also have the behaviour of the FEC to consider.

    Obama is far worse than Nixon and he is way more inept than Carter. He lies worse than Clinton.
