2013_09 05 Tinfoil Hat Award

WASHINGTON (AP) — A study of a dozen of 2012’s wildest weather events found that man-made global warming increased the likelihood of about half of them, including Superstorm Sandy’s devastating surge and the blistering U.S. summer heat.

You can read the rest, but it’ll probably cost you some IQ points.

  1. HOW THE BBC PREDICTED CHAOS IN 2007
Only six years ago, the BBC reported that the Arctic would be ice-free in summer by 2013, citing a scientist in the US who claimed this was a ‘conservative’ forecast.

Katie Couric not only bought that lie but also tried to sell that lie to her audience with dramatic flourish…

… for which she was rightly (and righteously!) parodied… (just watch the first 30 seconds)

  2. If this subject interests all, look up the user Suspicious0bservers (that’s spelled with a zero for the first letter of Observers, mind). They’ve been trackin the relationship between space weather and earth weather/climate. They have updates everymorning, and there are some fantastic longer presentations, but an important one regarding this story and Agenda 21 is their video “They Want to Blame You”:

    • Good one, Z. I’ve been compiling a bunch of solar data (400 years or so) in an attempt to see what’s really going on with the sun. When I get it done I might send it to you. For a while, I was seeing signs in the data that the sun might be reaching end-of-life. But now, I’m not so sure. When the solar experts don’t know anything, it should be ok for us amateurs to comment based on guesswork, right? 😉

  3. I nominate at least 2 Australians for the award. The first one that comes to mind is Andrew Leigh, the ALP member for Fraser in the ACT. He has his alarmism down to a fine art, and when he ramps it up he gets very hysterical.

My number 2 choice is Tim Flannery known here as the Flim-Flam man. He is alleged to be a paelotologist. I am not sure how he ended up as one. With a change of government he will be crying and adding water into the Hawkesbury river as his tears will be flowing. Timmy has been making some extremely wild claims… and all of them have been proved false.

Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd or Mr. Rude if you prefer, gets a special mention.

The scam has been about union rorting. The AWU scandal has been morphing all over the place as people begin to connect the dots. The first dot is Julia Gillard. From there you connect to Steve Bracks the former ALP Premier of Victoria. I know you cannot make the connection but Gillard became chief of staff for Bracks before Bracks took government. Bracks was responsible for the implementation of the building of the white elephant de-salination plant at Wonthaggi. After these first two links there is a woman by name of Robin McLeod. Her name is also linked to this desalination plant. A further link is the AWU. Another link is KPMG the firm that should have stuck to financial audits instead of this nonsense. I know you cannot see how the money flows, but you have to get to know all of the players because at the centre of this scandal is a company called Thiess. It is all about rorting money. Oh yes, and Robin McLeod is also linked to the increasing of the size of the desalination plant in South Australia, plus she was given a cushy job as Water Commissioner of South Australia without real qualifications to do the role, worth $300,000 pa. Not bad for a woman who has a teacher’s qualification. There is a lot more to this story and it is all linked to the climate change alarmism and it is all about taking taxpayer money and feeding at the government trough.
