Is the “real news” being scripted by some central “authority”?

Feb 2013: Media scripting: The gas prices are back on the rise edition [1:22]

Dec 2013: Media scripting: The one or two or ten edition [2:36]

Right at the end of both videos, Conan talks about how this is more than a little scary. Ya think?

Former news reporter Ben Swann points out:

“In most of these cases … the source of that script is some kind of wire service. … A station reporter or producer will copy and paste it word for word into a newscast. The problem with this policy is that reporters and producers simply take that content as gospel and no one in any newsroom ever bothers to fact check or verify if the wire story is correct.”

The local reporters and producers are also not making any independent decisions about WHAT STORIES MATTER.

The news that people think/talk about is largely based on what they see on the broadcast MSM news. WHAT people think about these issues is framed almost entirely by the amount of TIME devoted to a particularly story and the TONE the story takes.

At ABC, CBS, NBC and their affiliates, these decisions about TIME and TONE are being made by a handful of wire services, most of which have easily demonstrated ties to the Democrat Party and bias toward the Leftist agenda.

Here is a story you will not hear the Democrat Media Complex talking up. I thought about blogging it, but decided these evil witches don’t deserve that much of my time or your attention. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/12/26/topless-feminists-disrupt-christmas-mass-to-protest-abortion/

I love it when Rush puts together all the networks talking points in an audio montage. It is as if they are all just regurgitating in unison. They don’t even bother to change the verbiage from the press releases they call “news”.
