After a weekend there’s always so darn much stuff to get through.
Well,we’ll sally forth and do the best we can.
Those of you in more temperate climes give a kind thought to those of us in the ‘Polar Vortex.’
Never heard of it? The climate alarmists just made that up to blame the record cold on global warming. I live 70 miles northwest of Chicago and the actual temperature as of this posting,according to Yahoo news is -18. The wind chill is hovering about -45.
Question:what the hell did we do before they started calculating ‘wind chill factor’ to make you feel even worse than you already did? Back in the day,if it was cold,you bundled up before you went out. If you didn’t need to go out, YOU DIDN’T GO!!!!
Well,they say that exposed skin can be frostbitten in 15 minutes.Guess I’ll have to put off stripping to my skivvies and jogging a few miles.
I remember many a morning trying to start my Freightliner diesel truck and driving in a frigid cab all day. That damn thing was as cold-blooded as my ex-wife(well,maybe not THAT cold.) I went and delivered my papers today,mostly from the warmth of my car. Got home,enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and looked out over the field behind our house and said to myself: self,being retired ain’t all bad.

Barack gives Michelle a magnificent birthday present
President Barack Obama is going to give his wife the birthdaytime off, alone, without the children.
The White House said on Saturday first lady Michelle Obama would stay in Hawaii, where the family has been on vacation for the last two weeks, rather than return home with her husband and their two girls.
“As part of her birthday gift from the president, the first lady will remain in Hawaii to spend time with friends ahead of her upcoming 50th birthday,” a White House official said.
This stinking lowlife prick just has to rub the country’s nose in the fact he can run up the taxpayer tab whenever the mood hits him.We’ll foot the bill whenever she decides to bring her big ass home.

I thought unemployment made sense until I talked with a former classmate in a diner. She was whining about how her unemployment benefits were about to expire, so damn she was going to have to look for a job. I’ve never understood such an attitude, but I was raised right.

Even the bus kids are at risk. I drove a bus once upon a time during a record-breaking winter. It took a long time to warm it up before I could even put it in gear. If it broke down with kids on a bad road … we’d be in trouble.

I was in a crowded elevator the day after they first instituted the pat downs and x-ray-cancer-scans, and someone was talking about how ‘it’s for our safety’. So I said something like, ‘if you are willing to tell your children that nobody can touch their private parts except for their doctor or a security guard at the airport, then you don’t know what ‘safety’ is in the first place.’
Grrrr, so infuriating that there’s ‘it’s-ok-to-get-molested-at-the-airport’ propaganda for kids now.
