Well, interestingly, it was patriotic to burn Bush in effigy right outside his own friggin’ ranch; but if you even hold up a picket sign with Obama’s face on it, you are branded a racist extremist.
It was seen as patriotic to throw jars of piss as the president’s car when it was Bush, but if you protest an Obama policy, then you are put on a watch list.
It was seen as the height of intellectual activity to stand naked in a cage and pour oil or fake blood all over yourself, or to rip the flags from VFW posts and burn them in the street when Bush was in office. But if you wear a tri-corn hat to a rally these days, you are assumed a racist and a potential terrorist.
So, please excuse me if I question the suddenly found nobility of the left and self-proclaimed moderates who said nothing while businesses were trashed, while the president was busy attempting to race bait us all into a civil war, or his operatives were fueling that complete lie that was Occupy.
Please forgive me if having watched the behavior of the left for the last 16 years, turn into a mild reminiscence of Planet of the Apes, while the right is increasingly demonized and criminalization all the way to the point of the abuse of regulatory law, causes me to feel a little flash of bile in my throat.
The Left has always been the epitome of panty-waisted, butt hurtedness. No matter what time period it is, they’re always crying and wailing. Either they bitch because they’re not in power and being oppressed or they are in power and crying like feminist supporting, domestic violence abused girly-men because someone with a free mind dares to question their hypocritical lunacy.
Once you start viewing them for what they really are—little more than failed rodeo clowns—they aren’t near as aggravating.

Hope for Illinois GOP
Illinois is one of the bluest states in the country, but disgust with the mismanagement and corrupt leadership by Democrats, who have complete control of the legislature, and Governor’s mansion, has opened the door to a GOP victory over sitting Governor Pat Quinn, who barely survived in 2010. All 4 major GOP contenders for the Governors nomination currently lead Quinn by solid margins in head to head contests.
Last time out Quinn won 2 counties:East St. Louis,which is the farthest-south Chicago suburb and,of course,Crook County,where they never release vote totals until they know how many votes they need to win.Been doing it since 1960.
Still,the thought of Truax beating Dick Dirtbag is a nice fantasy.I have a better chance of winning a marathon…oxygen tank and all.

For as long as I’ve been involved in right to life work (30+ years), I’ve had to listen to pro-abortionists accuse pro-lifers of hypocrisy because (according to them) we claim to be against abortion, but if it was our teenage daughter who was pregnant, we’d be driving her down to the nearest planned parenthood abortuary to get the wretched thing scraped out. Sometimes they play the race card in addition (see above); other times they just leave it that we’re hopeless hypocrites, a “fact” they consider self-evident. I always found the accusation mind-boggling: These folks honestly believe that I care passionately about the babies of total strangers, but that I would order my own grandchild sliced and diced and flushed down the drain without a second thought. What planet are these people coming from?

I doubt it’s you! LOL More likely, time of day. I post all over the clock and it seems to have nothing whatsoever to do with when we spike. About 48 hours ago, we had one hour that went up to almost 60. NO idea why. Maybe somebody linked something on their Facebook or Twitter. Angelaisms sometimes tweets links to us, but WordPress doesn’t give us any notice of that kind of thing.

I could be wrong, but I assumed the spikes outta nowhere were due to web-crawler programs from Google and Bing scanning through your posts. You can tell when you suddenly have 40 or 50 old posts that all have one view each over the span of a few minutes. But if you get a bunch of steady hits on today’s fresh posts, that’s usually new traffic from some link or other, or a popular search topic. But who knows? I don’t understand where the traffic comes from most of the time.

Thanks for the Right Scoop tip. I really like Mike Lee and he is exactly right that Republicans don’t really deserve victory yet. With some fresh recruits it may be another story, so I am trying to help Eric Cantor’s primary opponent. Not too optimistic, but I’m going to try anyway.
