Thank you again for posting this! You know, when I first posted my comment about animals, at first I’d included a bit about the donkey’s that bore pregnant Mary, then Mary and Jesus to Egypt, and then Jesus into Jerusalem. I took it out, though, because I thought I might have been stretching– but I’d forgotten about Balaam’s donkey!
[It doesn’t help, though, that everytime I see the word “Donkey”, I hear it in my head as Shrek yelling “Donkey!”]
