Nothing about the cover or the description made me want to get this. I’m not sure why I did … maybe Netflix gave me one of those “Because you enjoyed” things and I figured what the heck. For whatever reason, I did get it and I’m SO GLAD, because it’s a WONDERFUL MOVIE.
Everything about it is spot on. Script, cast, cinematography, music, timing, themes. It’s one of those small movies that is so wide and deep, it’s hard to pigeon hole. It’s about life and family … love, healing, repentance, forgiveness, redemption, living, dying, choosing. And singing.
My husband and I watched it together and we were sharing the tissue box at the end, because of the flood of “that is so beautiful!!” happy tears.
