CNN’s Peter Hamby was told by three separate sources at the fundraiser that Biden explained how rising inequality — now a frequent trope among Democratic politicians — in fact began during the later years of Bill Clinton’s presidency.
“The fraying of middle-class economic security did not begin during President George W. Bush’s terms,” Hamby wrote, paraphrasing Biden’s pitch, “but earlier, in the ‘later years of the Clinton administration.’”

Workplace Violence? Republicans Vote to Give Vets of Ft Hood Terrorist Attack the Honor They Deserve
Republicans on the House Armed Services Committee will overturn one consequence of Obama’s unwillingness to recognize the terrorism of the Fort Hood attack: victims will be eligible for the Purple Heart, allowing survivors to receive better and prompter health care from the VA. More than that, every victim will get the recognition and honor due to them.
This comes at the same time that the administration is defending itself against charges that decisions were made in the Benghazi attack were animated by the same impulse – to protect Obama instead of protecting Americans.
THIS IS WHY IT IS SO CRITICAL THAT WE TAKE BACK THE SENATE AND MAYBE RIGHT SOME LONG OVERDUE WRONGS.

Democratic Governors Have Enacted Over $58B in Tax Increases Since 2011
Americans for Tax Reform compiled a list of all the state tax increases put into place under Democratic governors since 2011.
The group found that Democratic governors have enacted over $58 billion worth of tax increases while Republican governors have signed over $36 billion in tax cuts
ATR found that Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signed the most tax hikes. Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley was the second biggest tax hiker.

Chamber of Commerce head to GOP: If you don’t pass amnesty this year, don’t bother running a candidate in 2016
Politico claims he was joking but I’m not sure why. This guy’s only saying what the entire Republican leadership thinks.
Maybe the “joke” is that he’s pretending to care about the political implications of amnesty and the fate of the GOP when all he really wants is cheap labor.
This will surely be the beginning of the end of the GOP.

Hensarling, identified as the leading conservative challenger for Boehner’s job, sat for an interview with conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt Monday, following Boehner’s less-than-zealous statement to the Texas Tribune that he intends to run for speaker again but can’t promise that he will finish his next term.

Not National News at AP: Planned Parenthood Loses Battle For State Funding in Kansas
Tonight, the Associated Press treated a story about a suit to overturn tiny-population Alaska’s ban on same-sex “marriage” as national news — even giving it a”Big Story” promotion. Meanwhile, it kept Planned Parenthood’s decision to abandon its legal effort to obtain state funding in more-populated Kansas out of its national site, thus treating it as a local story.
