   Whatchawannabet those people holding those suspiciously look-alike signs were bussed to the “strike” in that yellow thing behind them and are being paid to be there?

   You are spot on.The people who actually work at these places either realize they’re playing a very risky game or they don’t have the ambition to picket since they’re too lazy/dumb to get a better-paying job.

     Given the high unemployment rate, I’m guessing the former. Lazy/dumb don’t do well at job interviews, being too lazy/dumb to show up on time and well-groomed.
