We just go somewhere else. I have had a number of vendors very rudely decline my business, usually because my budget was too small. But when I was looking for Natural Family Planning classes, the receptionist at one of the OB/GYN offices actually snarled, “We don’t DO THAT KIND OF THING HERE”, before slamming the phone down. Each time, I just kept calling around and always managed to find someone who did want my business.

except that there is an agenda. It is not a pleasant agenda and it is meant to harass Christian business owners.

Any business owner should be able to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, without suffering repercussions. And who cares if their reasons are religious or not? An atheist baker might refuse to make cakes with Bible verses on them for the Baptist church’s Sunday School picnic. A Jewish person who owns a screen printing shop might refuse to make t-shirts with swastikas for a skinhead group. A black seamstress might refuse to make white robes for the local KKK group. A gay caterer might refuse to cater an event for a Muslim group that advocates the death penalty for homosexuals. A Christian doctor might refuse to participate in abortions — for that matter, so might an atheist doctor who simply believes that it’s wrong to kill innocent people. What’s the point of pretending that we live in a free country if you can have your livelihood destroyed and your liberty threatened because you choose to conduct your business in accordance with your values?
