I was an oops baby. My grandson was an oops baby. Lots of people began life as oops babies. Oops babies of the world, unite!

I was more than an oops baby. I was most definitely unwanted and then I was born with an expensive medical problem.

Well, in that sense at least, I was a very lucky oops baby. My parents certainly had no intention of conceiving another child so soon after my brother was born (my mother was already pregnant again when she went in for her post-baby checkup). But once she knew I existed, my mother accepted the situation with her usual good grace and sense of humor. No doubt her unshakeable faith in God had a lot to do with it.
As for my grandson, although his conception was definitely unplanned, not to mention extremely inconvenient, his parents rose to the challenge. He’s six months old now and as loved and adored as any planned baby ever was.
