“Don’t get mad. Get even.”
It’s not what Jesus taught. His version would be, “Don’t get mad. Get praying.”
What he actually said was “pray for those who persecute you” (Matt 5:44), but close enough, right?
So I had this thought … you’ve heard of boycotts, where people refuse to shop somewhere, and buycotts, where people go out of their way to shop somewhere, right?
How about if we declare a Christian praycott?
When we are attacked, we will refuse to nurture anger or pursue revenge. Instead, we will go out of our way to pray that God will shine His light of Truth on the sins of our enemies and that He will call them to repentance and conversion before it’s too late.

As everyone knows by now, the NY Daily News front page mocked prayer as a response to San Bernardino.
We all know facts don’t matter to a liberal when it comes to climate change, it’s simply a central tenet of their “faith.” So I think we should start a daily factoid about how many mass shootings the prayers of the faithful prevented today, this week, this month. For example, “America’s prayers have prevented 24 mass shootings so far in December.” I mean, why not? It might be true, we just don’t know.
I’m pretty sure it’s true (there are angels on our shoulders), but I can’t prove it, just like they’re pretty sure global warming is our primary existential crisis even though there’s no scientific proof.
Faith comes in many forms, and I won’t apologize for mine.
