The mainstream media would no doubt paint GOP opposition to Sandoval as largely based on his clear pro-choice views on abortion. Last year, the governor pressured legislators not to send him an abortion parental-notification bill for minors even though he had campaigned in favor of the concept. Look for Republicans to contrast Sandoval’s stance on abortion
But Sandoval’s record clearly demonstrates that his liberal leanings transcend abortion. “There’s way more opposition to the governor within the Republican legislative caucus than the Democratic one,” David Damore, a professor of political science at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, told Politico.

Williams and her colleague, whom she did not identify, contributed $500 to attend the Clinton event, which was held at a private residence with around 100 people, she estimated.
Williams said she and her colleague strategically placed themselves at the front of the crowd and waited until Clinton appeared. Speakers introducing Clinton around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night spoke of Walter Scott, the Charleston A.M.E. shootings and how Clinton had a strong record of racial justice.
As Clinton spoke to the crowd, Williams stood to her side and held a sign quoting controversial statements made in 1996 when she said “we have to bring them to heel” in reference to at-risk youth.

Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was blasted by CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield for using talking points in response to how her party plans to take on Donald Trump.
Banfield asked Wasserman Schultz why she thought a Democrat campaign would fare any better than other Republicans have so far against the “behemoth” that is Trump.
Rather than answer directly Wasserman Schultz began to wax poetic about former President George W. Bush’s economic policies and reaching the middle class when Banfield interrupted her.
“Congresswoman, I love you, you are so good at this. You are so good at the talking points, but my question was about strategy,” Banfield said.

It is said the parallel Key Resolve and Foal Eagle exercises will include a staged ‘pre-emptive strike’ against the North – apparently leaving leader Kim Jong-Un seething.
Pyongyang has said if there is even a ‘slight sign’ of such exercises taking place, it will use all its might to hit back – claiming the first target would be South Korea’s presidential Blue House, while U.S. military bases in Asia and in America would be its secondary targets.

If you’re a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders, you might be a little annoyed at the fact that your candidate trounced Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire by double-digits, but left the contest with more delegates. This is thanks to the much discussed superdelegate system within the Democratic Party that typically allows state party officials (and other elected members) to pick who they wish to support for president regardless of the vote count in a primary or caucus.
