I get the feeling that the democrats may have underestimated The Donald, since most Republicans are too cowardly to take a stand, especially during an election year. Getting re-elected to their no-work, high-pay gigs is paramount. Trump doesn’t have to worry about that. He’s got a few bucks. Even the big-money GOP donors are opening the checkbooks for him. Sheldon Adelson had pledged $100 million to help rid of us of the disease of socialism.

As the Supreme Court sent a case regarding religious freedom and contraception back to the lower courts in the hope of finding a compromise, Democratic Party presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton came down against compromise on the controversial issue.
The issue in the case revolves around a mandate in Obamacare and whether religious institutions should be forced to pay for coverage which violates their deeply-held religious beliefs.

Unrelated but not really: for years, and I mean YEARS (!!!), the Catholic church has been vilified for priest pedophilia, but earlier today I ran across a story on OAN about LAUSD paying $88 million to settle a pedophilia case against two teachers. And this comes after another $140 million settlement less than two years ago. In this recent case each kid gets $3 million.
I hadn’t heard about any of this, because in the MSM? Crickets. Catholics bad, teachers union good.
At least now I know why my property tax is so high.

Why Trump Is Smart to Drag Bill Clinton’s Past Into the Race Sometimes, it pays to act like a kid
“She’s been the total enabler ,” Donald Trump declared of Hillary Clinton at a recent rally. “She would go after these women and destroy their lives.” It didn’t end there. “Hey, look, [Bill Clinton] was the biggest abuser of women, as a politician, in the history of our country,” Trump told Chris Cuomo on CNN’s New Day on Monday . “He was impeached.”
Hillary might not even be the primary target. It might be Bill. Bill Clinton is a master politician when he’s fighting for himself, but as we’ve seen in the past, this skill doesn’t seem to be transferable when he’s helping his wife campaign. There is a chance that Trump may be trying to get under his skin — trying to goad him into making mistakes.

Here’s the irony: Bill Clinton is a Wizard. Donald Trump is a Wizard. I’m not saying being a Wizard is a good thing, but against the strongest defense anywhere both these guys were able to take a broken-field run the length of the field and spike the football in the end zone. Against all odds they showed up as outsiders and won the whole damn thing.
Hillary Clinton is no Wizard, she’s never really won an election (NY was a gimme, more a coronation than a vote). On a Wizard-to-Wizard level I think Bill has more grudging admiration for Trump than he does for his wife. At their core Bill and Donald are both good ol’ boys in their own way; if the cameras were off I could see them having a very entertaining and bawdy locker-room type conversation over a couple of beers.
This may be one of the reasons why Bill seems to occasionally undermine his wife’s campaign. Subconsciously he’s playing for the other team.

Illegal border kids: Another issue just waiting for Republicans to use if they only had some courage

Those who really want to win an election should make it a practice to listen to the demands of the people who will be voting.
The opinions of voters regarding what to do about the tens of thousands of illegal alien children who have slithered into our country isn’t hard to discern. Nevertheless, we have come to expect that our wishes will be pushed aside in deference to those of the Chamber of Commerce. We don’t want illegal aliens to be allowed to stay in our country. We don’t want amnesty granted to these people. We want them kicked out.
A new Rasmussen poll, released this week, reiterates this sentiment. It found that likely voters sharply reject giving any aid and comfort to these invading children. We don’t want to house them; we don’t want to feed them and we don’t want to educate them.

I will not be arguing about this, as I have already lost enough friends over this destructive fight. My own preference is to cease even talking about it now that it is a moot point, something RedState, ReaganiteRepublican, LonelyConservative, Proof, PCP and even Diogenes & Dianny have refused to do. I just hope we can survive it.
