They Can Always Go Lower

Just about the time you think the Trump haters can’t get any more despicable, they prove you wrong. They even topped the Wellstone memorial/pep rally, which was no mean feat.

‘New York Post’ Cover Mocks Trump-Bashing Meghan McCain as ‘The Meg’

The New York Post cover is just one part of a brewing backlash against McCain and the overall funeral service for Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), which turned into an unseemly partisan rally Saturday with speakers like former Presidents Barack Obama and even George W. Bush trashing President Trump, who Sen. McCain refused to invite to his own funeral.

Also not invited was former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, John McCain’s unfailingly loyal 2008 vice presidential running mate.

What made Saturday’s shocking display all the more crass was that Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared were invited to the funeral and were forced to sit there and be humiliated, which might have been the plan. The McCains are infamous for holding petty grudges.

I hoped, briefly, that brain cancer would bring John McCain to repent and use his remaining days to prepare for Judgment. But when he did a 180 on his strongly worded and often repeated campaign promise to overturn Obamacare … then high-fived Schumer over his traitorous vote … I knew my hope was in vain. It makes me genuinely sad that he spent his final days planning ways to posthumously stick his nasty, bitter knife into Sarah Palin and Donald Trump and to flip the bird at every conservative Republican who ever voted for him.
