Brain Droppings

Some thoughts about last night:

I was pretty disappointed when I got up about midnight and the nightmare of a Speaker Pelosi came to fruition.

But looking at things optimistically, the “blue wave” was nothing more than a minor swell. Sure, they’ll have the chairmanships and the House will resemble a three ring circus, but there’s actually little they can do with such a small majority.

I remember when the Senate was evenly divided 50-50 and Tom Daschle conned Worthless Coward Trent Lott into sharing committee chairmanships. After duplicitous bastard Lincoln Chaffee switched his party affiliation from republican to independent, suddenly Daschle threw away his pretense of charity and demanded leadership in everything. The democrats will have to maintain 100% loyalty, which democrats always seem to do in a way that republicans cannot in order to advance any of their betrayal of comity and general decency.

Brian Kemp is leading socialist race hustler Stacy Abrams in the race for governor of Georgia by more than 3% points, but she refuses to concede, hoping for a massive vote dump … somewhere.

Gillum was not as close to DeSantis as the media let on, which is a pretty common practice for them.

That lunatic bartender, Occasional-Cortex managed to win a seat in congress. Hopefully she can teach them how to make a decent Mojito. She doesn’t know beans about anything else.

McCaskill’s bonus term comes to an end in Missouri.

Never Trumper and Paul Ryan ally, Scott Walker lost his bid for a third term as Wisconsin governor.

Dan Crenshaw, who lost an eye to the Taliban and was the butt of an obscene joke on the unfunny SNL is now a congressman. Somebody should tell those hacks thank you for the attention.

As of this writing, McSally is still leading in Arizona and Jon Tester(D) is behind in Montana.

Some way, somehow, Joe Manchin managed to BS his way into another term, likely his last, in West Virginia.

Diminutive hack Donna Shalala, having destroyed the California university system and finished her tour of the country with Janet Reno in a pickup truck (OK, I made that part up) won outgoing GOP rep Iliana Ros-Lehtinen’s seat in a heavily Hispanic district. She doesn’t speak Spanish, but almost 300,000 Puerto Ricans settled there after a devastating hurricane. She obviously spoke their language: “free stuff…por nada.”

There will obviously be more as the day wears on … please stay tuned.
