MUELLER’S NOTHINGBURGER: Mueller concluded his investigation on Friday after nearly two years, turning in a report to the top U.S. law enforcement officer. Attorney General William Barr sent a summary of conclusions from the report to congressional leaders and the media on Sunday afternoon.

REPUBLICANS ONE UP DEMOCRATS: Mueller delivered his report to Attorney General William Barr Friday afternoon, concluding his 22-month investigation. It’s now up to Barr to determine what will be released to Congress and the public.

Democrats are hollering for everything to be released, like Trump and Republicans want to hide something.

CRUZ: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday to discuss the Mueller report. During his conversation with Dana Bash, Cruz brought up one very valid point: the Mueller report isn’t the end of the Democrats’ agenda to dismantle the Trump administration. This is only the beginning.

“If anyone thinks that the Mueller report being concluded is the end of the Democrats’ attempt to take down President Trump, they haven’t been paying attention the last two years,” Cruz explained.

“They fully intend to impeach the president and they don’t care about the basis. Twice Congressman Nadler said something remarkable. He said, ‘Listen, the special counsel’s focused on crimes. We’re not all that concerned with crimes. Our focus is – this is Democrats in the House – is much broader than crimes.’ What they’re basically saying is they’re going to impeach the president for being Donald Trump and they don’t care about the evidence, they don’t care about the substance.

“My point is the extreme left of the Democratic Party, they have so much anger and hatred directed at the president that we’re going to see the Democrats move forward with impeachment, whatever the evidence, that’s why you’re seeing Democrats like Congressman Nadler say, ‘Don’t worry about crimes. Our focus is not on crimes. That’s Bob Mueller’s focus. Our focus is broader.’ What their focus is is politics.”

SPIN CYCLE: “All of the accusations we’ve heard from mainstream media talking heads, sleazy politicians, and Obama-era intelligence agency heads were complete and total lies, fabricated out of pure hatred and a desire to overturn the results of a Presidential election.

“We should be in a celebratory mood over the Mueller Report, but we’re not. After all, we’ve known the charges were baseless since before Trump was even sworn in. Nor can we take any pleasure in the notion that Mueller’s Report is going to change the dialogue in the media or in Washington DC, because it won’t make a damn dime’s worth of difference. MSNBC, CNN, and the roughly five thousand Democratic presidential candidates are already out there proclaiming that this two year, $40 million dollar investigation doesn’t clear Trump of anything. As AOC notably said (and we paraphrase for intelligibility) “it’s more important to be morally right than factually accurate.

“This comes as no surprise and, at this point, not even much of a disappointment. But what does concern us – a lot – is what comes next in terms of bringing to justice the many high-ranking officials,  including Obama, Hillary, and various intelligence heads, who tried to destroy the American election system and, failing that, subsequently attempted a Presidential coups.

“That’s the type of thing traditionally sorted out with fair trials and firing squads, although we’d be satisfied to see long, long jail sentences. Obama did a pretty good job of emptying his friends and allies out of our containment facilities at Guantanamo Bay, so we know there’s plenty of room down there for those enemies of our nation and Constitution who no longer deserve the privilege of living on American soil.”

MEDIA BIAS: From Dan Gainor at Fox News – “In reality, there’s nothing new about Russia’s attempts to influence our elections. The Washington Post has reported that Russia and its predecessor Soviet Union have been trying to influence American elections since 1960.

“Yet ever since President Trump was elected – surprising media pundits who expected Democrat Hillary Clinton to defeat him – many news organizations have claimed he only got to the Oval Office because of help from Russia.

“Forget that President Obama had promised Russia’s leader he’d have “more flexibility” working with Russia after the 2012 election. It had to be Trump who was the one working with Russia.”
